Web 2.0

"Technology can be a means to access content on any topic, a tool for thinking and creating, a connection to peers and experts, and a window into other cultures"
- Partnership for 21st Century Learning

The six ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) Standards are listed below. These standards are the basis for 'Moving Beyond the Textbook' and shifting roles and responsibilities as educators in order to prepare our students today for living and learning in the 21st Century. Click on each to access the Digital Toolkit and associated resource.

The links below will highlight Web 2.0 Tools associated with each of the six ISTE NETS-S standards. It is the classroom teachers job to investigate which tools will best meet identified learning targets. In this information age, we always need to remember that it is the curriculum that drives the technology. To learn more about 21st Century Learning and using Web 2.0 Tools please visit the 21st Century Learning Resources page or begin your own search.
